Born and raised in Greenville, SC, Dr. McAbee is living out his dream of returning home after dental school to practice what he loves doing in the city he loves the most. Dr. McAbee’s deep local roots and love for all that is #yeahTHATgreenville, shines through in the way he serves his patients and his community. For Dr. McAbee, returning home to begin his dental career in Greenville has always been about both the journey and the destination. SCOTT MCABEE, DMD
EDUCATION
Following graduation from J.L. Mann High School, he attended the University of South Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with Cum Laude honors. He moved to Charleston and completed his dental education at the Medical University of South Carolina. While his goal of returning to Greenville was in near sight, he decided to further his training with a general practice residency at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC. There he focused on implant dentistry, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, and treating medically compromised patients. He is excited to offer these services at West End Dental in addition to the comprehensive treatment already provided.
ACCOLADES
Dr. McAbee is an active member of the Greenville County Dental Society, South Carolina Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. McAbee loves learning the latest techniques and technology in dentistry so he can continually implement them for the benefit of our patients. He serves as a volunteer at the Greenville Free Medical Clinic. He is passionate about creating a relaxing environment that provides each patient with a personalized experience where they receive exceptional care.
HOBBIES
Dr. McAbee enjoys spending time with his family and friends especially at the lake, playing any sport, music, travel, and cheering on his beloved Gamecocks. Dr. McAbee’s wife, Erin, is also a dentist in Spartanburg, SC. They are excited to announce the birth of their daughter, Hallie, in February 2022. He feels truly blessed and excited to meet new people, live, and practice the art of dentistry in the downtown Greenville community.
